WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – A group of U.S. military veterans is showing its appreciation for a Whitehall Township retirement community.
The Lehigh Valley branch of the Fleet Reserve Association presented Fellowship Community with its very own flags.
The donated flags represent the military branches covered by the FRA: the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.
For members, it’s their way of saying “thank you” for hosting them so often.
And Fellowship leaders say they’re grateful.
“I am incredibly honored to have this wonderful gift that we were given today. And to support and really respect the veterans and everything that they have done for us,” said Fellowship Community President and CEO Mary Kay McMahon.
Fellowship having its own set of flags will also be more convenient for the FRA, so they won’t have to keep transporting their flags for every event there.
