A Lehigh Valley senior care community is growing.
Fellowship Community in Whitehall has announced plans to build three luxury apartment budlings on its 65-acre campus.
According to Mary Kay McMahon, president and CEO of Fellowship Community, each building will include 24 apartments ranging in size from 1,050 to 1,450 square feet and will feature smart home technology.
Apartment options include one-bedroom with a den and 1.5 baths, two-bedroom with two baths, and two-bedroom plus den with two baths.
“We have a waiting list for our independent living townhomes and apartments. Creating a much-needed expansion is our solution to provide an opportunity for others to enjoy living at Fellowship Community,” said McMahon in a release.
Groundbreaking for the first building is expected this summer, with completion projected for 2026.
Fellowship has already begun presale of the units.
Future plans for the expansion include a maker space for artists and craftsmen, and theatre for movies and performances.
“People are eager to move into a brand-new apartment where they can create a home that’s perfect for them,” said Laura Long, vice president of Independent Living. “We’re excited to offer the opportunity for people to select finishes, tile, flooring, and cabinets.”
The Suites at Fellowship Community will also have community clubrooms where residents can gather, host meetings, or celebrate special occasions.
“Our expansion will meet the Lehigh Valley’s high demand and accommodate our extensive waitlist, all while achieving our goal of mission-driven growth,” McMahon added.
